This will be one of those long winded thoughts that I pound out now and again in order to produce cohesive thoughts.
My line of thinking (and I do welcome comments) is based around producing reliable and stable and useful communications methods for in-the-field people.
I started thinking about this stuff because some close associates of mine own a security company, and are building it up some more to include an equivilant of an armed tactical response group. All quite legal.
However, part of the discussion I have had with them is with tactical communications equipment.
Stuff I`d like to see and they would to is:
- Wearable tactical computers
- Headset comms (radio or phone or something)
- Headsup output, with maps and photographs
- GPS location of all staff
Basically, they want a system (and I`d love to see one) where updated maps of the building they are `protecting` can be shown on a headsup / visor display. As well as pictures from security camera`s etc. Plus reporting of locations and situations with a realtime secure feed.
I am curious how possible it would be to do...
